Theresa Brier


Theresa is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Political Science. A proud alumni of Marjory Stoneman Douglas (MSD) High School in Parkland, Florida where Theresa met her husband, Simeon Brier and started their family, with now two daughters, Angelina (21) and Gianna (18) who also graduated from MSD. Theresa and her family live in Parkland, Florida participating in many community events as well as city adult sports leagues including kickball and softball.

Theresa has served in government relations for over 25 years with two Members of the U.S. House of Representatives, a Florida Representative and Florida Senator. She will serve as District Director to a third Member, Congressman-Elect Jared Moskowitz in the new year. Theresa has been the Deputy District Director for former Congressman Ted Deutch from April of 2010 to October of 2022.

Prior to working for Congressman Deutch, she was the Broward County Director for Congressman Robert Wexler (1999 to 2009). As a representative for both Members of Congress, Theresa planned and organized town halls, press conferences, roundtables, grant workshops as well as represented the Members at events throughout the district. Florida’s 22nd Congressional District expands from Palm Beach and Broward Counties encompassing the cities of Boca Raton, Highland Beach, southwest to Margate, Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Parkland to the coastline of Broward County from Deerfield Beach to east Fort Lauderdale, Oakland Park and Wilton Manors. Theresa is reliable, knowledgeable, loyal and always professional.

It is important to Theresa and her family to give back to their community. She serves on several boards and volunteers for nonprofit organizations including the SOS Children’s Village Legislative Committee, Advisory Board for the Broward County Areawide Agency on Aging, Make Our School Safe, Samaritan’s Purse – Operation Christmas Child, MSD Alumni, MSD Eagle Regiment Band, MSD Judge for Student Debates, KidSafe, Church by the Glades & Serve the City and Theta Phi Alpha Sorority.
